For instance, a Mesh object shows several types of work modes, and

others like a camera will only have Object Mode.

With work modes, we have access to unique tools and options regarding

objects manipulation. For Mesh objects, you have Edit Mode, which is

the mode where we can perform a significant amount of 3D Modeling in

Blender.

Once you select any Mesh object and change the work mode to Edit,

you start to see the structure of that selected object. The Toolbar on the

left display options related to that mode, and you will be able to view and

manipulate:

Vertices

Edges

Faces

You can easily change the type of element you wish to edit for that

polygon using the buttons on the right of your work mode selector

(Figure 2.13).
